History

In 2014, the East Side Funder Group (ESFG) launched with a focus on improving the economic vitality of the Dayton’s Bluff and Payne-Phalen neighborhoods located on the East Side of Saint Paul. As a funder collaborative, ESFG member share a common grantmaking focus to achieve greater impact by working and learning together.  

Founding members include the McNeely Foundation, McKnight Foundation, Nexus Community Partners, Saint Paul and Minnesota Community Foundations and Northwest Area Foundation. Now, ESFG includes funders from several private, family, corporate and community foundations, as well as the public sector.
